It seems to me that Medium is curating a lot more articles. It also seems to me that an article won't remain curated as they are making room for new pieces of content. If they are curating thousands of articles it quickly becomes as if they aren't curating any.

Personally, I would take pride and joy in the fact that they curated it to begin with and that you had such success with that article. You gained a lot from it and it certainly seems like that should be your main focus.

It's understandable to wonder what's going on here but to classify it as being backstabbed does reek of hyperbole and overdramatizing the situation.

I don't want this to come off as overly critical. I just thought I'd point out a different way of looking at things.
